The Face Behind the Advocacy
Hi, I'm Alexandra- allergy mom, licensed paralegal, and the creator of Allergy Advocacy Mom.
Based in Ontario, Canada, I'm navigating the same journey as you. My mission is to help your family find the confidence to advocate for your child's safety at home, at school, and within the community.
What We Believe
Every family deserves support.
Knowledge builds confidence.
Advocacy starts with understanding.
No Parent should feel alone on this journey.

My Journey as a First-Time Allergy Mom
Hi, I’m Alexandra
When my son had his first anaphylactic reaction, my world felt like it had shifted overnight.
I remember the overwhelming fear of the unknown, the constant scanning of labels, and the isolation that often comes with being a first-time allergy mom.
I wasn’t just navigating a medical condition, I was learning how to protect my child’s life in a world that suddenly felt full of hidden risks.
Sending your child into the world with severe food allergies changes you.
It makes you hyper-aware in ways other parents may never fully understand.
No one cares more about your child than you ... and your voice matters.
The thought of my son going to daycare and eventually school, in a world where I’m not there as his safeguard, felt overwhelming.
Policies, legislation, and school procedures can be confusing and hard to navigate.
That’s why I created Allergy Advocacy Mom.
I’m an Ontario mom raising a child with severe food allergies and a licensed paralegal.
Over the years, I’ve learned something powerful:
When parents are informed, they are empowered.
Allergy Advocacy Mom exists to transform anxiety into action by providing Ontario families with practical tools, clear explanations, and the confidence to advocate for their children as they step into school and the wider world.
Here, you’ll find:
• Plain-language breakdowns of Ontario legislation, including Sabrina’s Law
• School readiness tools and checklists
• Practical advocacy guidance
• Real-life parenting insights for managing allergies
• A supportive community of families who truly get it
Advocacy doesn’t have to be aggressive.
It can be calm.
It can be informed.
It can be confident.
When you understand your rights, walk into meetings prepared, and communicate clearly — everything shifts.
